In the first period the "Canucks" opened the scoring at 4'42 with a goal from Stephen Eustaquio [0-1]. Our Grenadiers played a decent game until half-time but failed to find a loophole in the reds and change the score.
Returning from the locker room, 5 minutes after the start of the game, Cyle Larin at 50'16 slipped the score for Canada [0-2].
5 minutes later, thanks to a shot from Stephane Lambese at 55'12 Haiti closed the gap [1-2], all hopes were still high.
However, the relentless Cyle Larin scored a brace to 73'07 [1-3].
Despite their efforts, the Grenadiers failed to prevent Junior Hoilett from registering at 78'16, a 4th and final goal for the "Canucks" [1-4].
Jean Jacques Pierre, the Grenadiers coach did not hide his disappointment at the end of this second consecutive defeat "[...] Canada have a good team. We had our chances, but we weren't able to take advantage of them but they did [...] We gave them problems but we lacked finishing. I am disappointed with the result, the score does not reflect reality."
Our Grenadiers will face Martinique in their last group match, Sunday July 18 from 5:00 p.m. at Toyoto stadium (Texas).
